Hold on....
He said, 'hold on they're coming', he said, 'hold on a full canopy is very near'. Well, he didn't actually say that, I've paraphrased Country Joe...a bit. But, the canopy is coming, an eager oak, an early adapter is already staking his claim to space, you know what Rush said about the oaks.

Canopy's coming
All about buds are beginning to burst into life as the first leaves of Spring start to show. I love all the seasons dearly, each has their beauty and gifts, though I'll admit I favour Spring. Springs beauties are legion, the overwhelming sense of fecundity, the boundless potential that offers, all that new life, the verdance, the light and the energy of it all. Springs energy is infectious too, walking in Spring is an opportunity to be energized, and I'm sure we could all do with some of that.

Ordered by natural process
Ordered by natural process. As the waters recede and the forest streams retreat back within their banks, they leave behind them the well ordered vestiges of autumns glories. It's quite a wonder to see.

Yellow leaf road
Follow, follow, follow, follow, ... follow the yellow leaf road. The fall has begun with the first to show being the first to go. The Birch leaves drain to yellow almost in the turn of your back, and helped by the recent winds, are easily dislodged from their twiggy homes to litter the narrow woodland paths of the common.

Stacked leaves
When the waters of Red Rise Brook swept across the adjacent forest they swept with them all the nearby trees fallen crowning glories, and when the waters receded they left them neatly stacked in vertical uniformity winding as ribbons through the stands.
