Where the edible mushroom season this year was not as fruitful or as long as in years past; with an early crop of Ceps curtailed by unseasonably dry weather, Hedgehogs too shone brightly yet faded fast, whilst other mushroom species commonly found were far fewer in number. The change to damp weather, and the frosts holding off, have produced a late blooming of psilocybe semilanceata, the Liberty Cap or Magic Mushroom.
